Bill
Crews is singer-songwriter
from Spartanburg, SC. His first CD, self-titled
"Bill Crews," came
out in 1997 on the Around The World Promotions label. The
album did very well on the European
Charts, peaking at number 22 among other music greats like Garth
Brooks (23), Shania Twain (21), and Billy Ray Cyrus (17).
Crews spent
a year and a half completing his second CD entitled "Along
the Rio." It was recorded at Gray Matters studio
in Spartanburg under the Skymaster Records label. Two former Marshall
Tucker Band members were brought in to perform on the tracks.
Franklin Wilkie lays down the bass tracks, while Ronald Radford
does a fantastic job on guitar and steel guitar. The producer
Michael Traylor combined Bill's musical influences of Jimmy Buffett
and John Prine with a south-of-the-border feel. The result is
truly something special.
"Along
the Rio" will hit radio within the next few months.
It is available now by ordering on-line. For a touch of country,
the islands, and Old Mexico, give this new CD a listen. Then tell
your friends.
